Buying a Used Car
1) Will the car comply in NZ? Description details on this website for each individual car will indicate of the car complies in N.Z.
2) If the car complies, will I need to pay for a statement of compliance in N.Z. Kiwi Auto Exports will obtain a letter of "Technical Information" from Singapore LTA for each car. In many cases this will qualify the car to be exempt from a statement.
Also, many cars have a series of numbers included on the model plate that begins with "e" and in other cases ends in "q". These cars are exempt from a statement of compliance. For cars in these categories, Kiwi Auto Exports will include this in the individual car details.
3) How do I pay for the car? Once you have confirmed the car purchase, Kiwi Auto Exports will email you an invoice with our banking details. Payment will be made by wire TT transfer to our nominated bank. On receipt of this, the car will be shipped to you.
4) How much is shipping and how long does it take? Ocean freight cost varies depending on method:- Container, Roll-on/Roll-off, Lift-On/Lift-Off. Transit time varies depending on the method due to scheduling and size of the ship. The size of the vehicle can also effect freight cost. With every sale we will discuss freight cost and transit time before confirming your purchase. Transit time to New Zealand (most ports) is 12-21 days, African Continent 12-21 days, Mediterranean,Europe,UK 18-30 day and Indian Ocean ports 10-21 days.
Buying a New Car
1) How long can we get our car once order is confirmed? The lead time varies. If the unit is available ex-stock, the lead time only depends on shipment and clearance time (about 3 – 8 weeks). However, if the unit is not available, then it has to depend on the manufacturer’s production schedule apart from shipment and clearance time. Depending on the make and model, it ranges from 1 month onwards.
2) How do I order a new vehicle from Kiwi Auto Exports? Please refer to Contact Us for names of sales personnel to contact regarding your order. Upon order confirmation, a deposit is required to secure the vehicle. Progressive payment will be required upon advised depending on stages of the order.
3) Does Kiwi Auto Exports supply both Left and Right Hand Drive vehicle? Yes, Kiwi Auto Exports carries both Left and Right Hand Drive vehicles.
